Happy Thanksgiving!!


I wasn't thinking last weekend when I scheduled the posts about Jack and I scheduled one for Thanksgiving day, so my Thanksgiving post is a day late hehe.  I spent Thanksgiving hanging out with family and playing with the animals.  I got a bunch of photos of the critters, so for this post you get a cat update as well.  :D  After all I am thankful for my rainbow of kitties.  That's what I call them when they greet me at the door every morning making circles around my feet and they are all different colors so they make a rainbow.

 It is eerie how much Shadow looks like Gray Kitty!!

Here are some old pictures of Gray Kitty. I don't have pictures of her at the same age.  
Shadow is darker, but not as dark as that picture makes her look.  
I have to double take all the time, thinking I'm seeing Gray Kitty, when it's actually Shadow.
I wish I could get pictures of them beside each other, but they don't like each other....

Emi is so pretty. 


 All three cats are doing great after their spay/neuter surgeries.

 Pharaoh is getting so chunky!

 His wide stripes aren't as defined as when he was a kitten, but he's still gorgeous.

Is it wrong to play favorites?  I hope not because Pharaoh is my favorite.  :D

Jackal Puppy Pictures

Does anyone remember how freaking adorable Jackal was as a puppy???  Soaked from playing in his pool.  He loved Frisbee!  OMG soaked Jackal puppy straight out of the bath!!  He LOVED his pool!  He loves going fishing with us.  Adorable just isn't a strong enough word!!  Those ears!  Sleeping on hubby's chest.  Catching toads out of the pool the ducks made nasty lol.  Spoiled rotten!  Sitting by the wood stove to stay warm.  Seriously spoiled!!    If I was on the couch he was piled up on, next to or behind me (like above).    Rotten and he knows it.  Just because I can't get enough below are some of my favorite pictures of Jackal over the years.  I was cleaning my horse tack and he wouldn't move... so cute!  That was a fun walk down memory lane.  I need to get some current pictures of him.  I've been so bad about not taking pictures lately...

Garden Update

 Our first pumpkin from the garden!!! It is 24.6 pounds!  It is a Yellow of Paris pumpkin so it's not supposed to be orange.  Isn't it awesome?? The garden has done so well.  I'm so pleased with it.  I've lost count of everything, but we've gotten at least 38 acorn squash, 12 butternut squash, around 20 spaghetti squash, a bunch of yellow squash, cucumbers and zucchini,  as well as miscellaneous other squash.  We've gotten a tomato, a bunch of okra, two watermelons and four eggplants.  That's only the beginning.  There will be a lot more to come. Check out these pictures. See the acorn squash that was eaten on?  That's from Scuff, our resident box turtle.... Luckily he decided he's not really a fan of them because he hasn't eaten any others, but he LOVES cucumbers.  Did I ever tell you guys the story about Scuff and how he got his name?  I got in my car back in April to head to work.  As I was backing out of my parking spo...

Day 2 With Amethyst

To my surprise Coral didn't get up when we went in. Coral and Amethyst are doing great! I'm still going to do a post to show a video of her labor and birth, but I'm having to figure out how to convert some files, so it will have to wait.  I'll just share pictures and video from today with Amethyst.  Your baby is not a pillow hehe. Coral is still tired, but they are both doing great.  I LOVE watching Amethyst play and explore.  I forgot how much fun goat kids are.  I LOVE her racing stripes on her ears. We gave them the first day alone together to bond, but today it was time to start socializing Amethyst so she doesn't end up feral like her mom.  Coral doesn't like it, humans still stress her out, but she didn't fight us.  She just watched closely and talked under her breath to her baby.  Hubby giving Amethyst a cuddle.   Ammy doesn't like being held, but she quickly gives up struggling.  She will get used to it.  I couldn't tell rig...
