Sorry things have been so quiet on the blogs.  Things have been kind of crazy, but not much was going on with the goats other than cuddles and feeding.  That changed today though because we started a mass weaning lol.  I'll have to get updated pictures of the kids.  They are getting so big!!  It's getting late and I need to eat supper so I just wanted to quickly share a couple of photos. You might remember from a previous post that we shaved Daniel.... Before his shave. After his shave.  As most of you know a shave can look ratty at first, but once the coat starts growing in they look so much better.  Check him out now! Isn't he gorgeous??  He's an impressive goat (check out that butt muscle that Myotonics are so well known for), but I sure wish he still had his horns.  I hate that people disbud goats....  that's a rant for a different day.  One last picture then I have to go eat. Not very good pictures, but I took the second one back in February and forgot to share it with you guys.  It's not the greatest comparison because I was crouched down more in the first one, but you can still see how much he has grown!  Jasper is the best tempered Boer buck I think I've ever met.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately.  Things have been insanely busy.  Good news is I got a promotion at work!  Finally, after two years of slaving away I'm in the position I've wanted from the beginning.  Of course that comes with more overtime... ugh! Everyone on the farm is doing well.  I don't think I've forgotten to tell you guys anything important.  The kids are growing so much.  Topaz's oldest buckling and Coral's twin doelings are over fifty pounds at almost ninety days old.  I'm so impressed with how all of the kids are growing out this year.  I think we've finally gotten the nutrition perfected.
